🌟✨ THE COST OF A DREAM ✨🌟

The MNEMOS Podcast episode 3

πŸŒ… Before the sun rose, Dr. Aimee Eyram Eklu was already awakeβ€”not because she wanted to be but because she had to be. A crying baby πŸ‘ΆπŸ½, a school run 🏫, a mountain of lectures ahead πŸ“šβ€¦ but there was no room for complaints, only action. πŸ’ͺ🏽πŸ”₯

🎀 This is her story.

A young woman who walked into medical school carrying the dreams of generations before her. πŸ₯πŸ₯Ό Her father tried. Her uncle tried. Both were brilliant, but life happened. She would be the first doctor in her family. πŸ‘©πŸ½β€βš•οΈ There was no room for failureβ€”she was doing this for them, for herself, and for the little girl who would look up to her one day. πŸŒŸπŸ’«

But life didn’t slow down just because she was chasing her dreams. πŸƒπŸ½β€β™€οΈπŸ’¨ She wasn’t only a medical studentβ€”she was also a mother, a wife, and a businesswoman. πŸ‘ΆπŸ½β€οΈπŸ’Ό

πŸ“œ Her journey began with a BSc in Physician Assistantship Studies from Central University. But she didn’t stop thereβ€” she entered the Graduate Entry Medical Program (GEMP) and didn’t just graduate, she EXCELLED, πŸ† earning the award for Best Graduating GEMP Student in Psychological Medicine and Mental Health. πŸŽ“βœ¨

πŸ‘ΆπŸ½ She had her first child in medical school. Then her second. She wasn’t just studying anatomyβ€” she was growing a whole human inside her 🀰🏽while solving clinical cases. πŸ“– She juggled pregnancy with 7:30 AM lectures, morning sickness with intense study sessions, and breastfeeding with late-night revisions. πŸŒ™πŸ“š

πŸ’€ Some nights, she barely slept. Some mornings, she fought through exhaustion. Some days, she was almost broke. But she never gave up! πŸš€

πŸ’‘ Every morning, she woke up before dawn to bathe her little girl, pack her school bag πŸŽ’, and rush her out the door before sprinting to class herself. πŸƒπŸ½β€β™€οΈπŸ’¨

πŸ’Ό And then there was her business. Orders πŸ“¦ had to be fulfilled, deliveries 🚚 had to be made, and clients had to be satisfied. But she built a system. She delegated. Her husband and sister stepped in. She didn’t try to be a superwoman who did it allβ€”she was wise enough to ask for help! πŸ™ŒπŸ½πŸ‘¨πŸ½β€πŸ‘©πŸ½β€πŸ‘§πŸ½

πŸ“Œ Her biggest challenge? Being everything to everyone all at once. πŸŒ€

πŸ‘©πŸ½β€πŸ‘§πŸ½ She was a mother who had to be present.
πŸ’ She was a wife who had to be understanding.
πŸ“š She was a student who could not afford to fail a single exam.
🌟 And through it all, she had to remain herself.

But she never gave up. πŸ’ͺ🏽 She showed up every single day. 🌟

πŸ† And she didn’t just make it through medical schoolβ€” she EXCELLED.

πŸ‘©πŸ½β€βš•οΈ She left medical school not just as a doctor but as proof that women don’t just survive challengesβ€”we CONQUER them! πŸ”₯πŸ…

🎯 But Dr. Eklu isn’t stopping there.

πŸš€ She is the Founder of Aimee Medicals, a medical supplies venture, with plans for health-related philanthropic work.

🩺 She is the force behind Aimee Labcoats & Scrubs, producing and supplying high-quality medical apparel.

πŸ‘— She is the Manager of JanieMay Fashion, proving that a woman can dominate multiple industries at once. πŸ’ΌπŸ”₯

πŸŽ₯ And soon, she will be launching her own YouTube channel to share her journey and inspire othersβ€” because stories like hers deserve to be told. 🎬✨

πŸ’‘ Because that is what women do.

βœ… We walk into boardrooms and command respect.
βœ… We nurture families while building empires.
βœ… We show up for our children and still chase our ambitions.
βœ… We carry life within us and still go out and create the lives we dream of.

πŸ™…πŸ½β€β™€οΈ We don’t wait for perfect conditionsβ€” WE MAKE IT WORK!

πŸ”₯ So today, on International Women’s Day, we celebrate the resilience, ambition, and boundless strength of women everywhereβ€” from those powering through classes with period cramps πŸ©ΈπŸ“– to those balancing career, family, and personal dreams. πŸ’ΌπŸ‘©πŸ½β€βš•οΈβ€οΈ

πŸ‘€ You are seen.
πŸ’Ž You are valued.
πŸš€ You are UNSTOPPABLE.
